We bought in 2012 a small uninhabited hamlet (and little ruins it) in Dordogne, at the heart of black Périgord, in some km of "Sarlat", the famous Medieval city.
Pulled well over its hillside displayed (exposed) due south in front of small village of Marquay, the " Domain of Malonie " consists of 5 buildings and extends over about fifteen hectares.
Lovers of the region, us decided to restore this small paradise by respecting of course the local architecture and, by bringing it a cosy and modern comfort to receive a clientele in search of peace and tranquillity.
Four of the buildings are intended for the furnished (filled,furnished flat) rent, the fifth will be intended for the leisure activities (Fitness room and Jacuzzi) and in constraints (office(desk), welcome (reception), and maybe cooking (kitchen) and reception hall).
To date (08/10/2015) and, after 2 years of works, 3 houses are ended and the fourth will be ready for Christmas 2015.
Every house is totally independent and refreshed of its own swimming pool.
The friendly configuration of places also allows to rent (praise) the whole for a big family.
The total capacity of welcome (reception) is 32 Beds distributed in 15 rooms (chambers) and harmed (served) by 9 bathrooms.
Our main concern(marigold) during this renovation, was to imagine everything so that every house can enjoy a fantastic view and a feeling of total freedom without undergoing the neighborhood.
The bet seems to us successful! But to you to judge …...
